Revenue Leverage, LLC is dedicated to helping senior housing developers, owners, operators and managers to create and execute strategic plans that effectively and quickly impact revenue and occupancy through dynamic sales, marketing and operations efforts. Revenue Leverage is a strategic equity partner on development and acquisitions, as well as a seasoned “been there, done that” executive level leadership and management consultant.
From October 2000 to July of 2009 Jack McCarthy was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chief Operating Officer at Benchmark Assisted Living, a mid-size developer and owner operator. Jack was a key part of a leadership team that led the growth of the company from a start-up to 44 communities in 7 states, 4,200 residents, 3,400 employees, over $1 billion in assets, and $300 million in sales. Benchmark’s growth was realized through ground up development, single and multi-site portfolio acquisitions of 4 to 9 sites as well as value-add product and services, such as memory care, to existing communities. As SVP of Sales and Marketing, Jack led all aspects of sales and marketing for the company’s entire portfolio. Jack is a pioneer in the development and implementation of a “sales culture” within the healthcare and senior living industry. He is known for his revenue and occupancy results, innovative approaches, leadership, talent development, cost-effective lead generating systems, acquisitions and assimilations, start-ups, turnarounds and motivational team building. Under Jack’s leadership, Benchmark’s sales and operating team was known to be among the most innovative, effective and successful in the industry.
Among senior housing activities Jack has been Executive Committee Board Member of the Massachusetts Assisted Living Facilities Association (MASS-ALFA), a member of The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) as well as an Executive Roundtable member of ALFA. A nationally known speaker, moderator and trainer for MassALFA, National ALFA, The Advanced Sales and Marketing Summit, The National Investment Center as well as faculty for The Erickson School at The University of Maryland, (UMBC).
Prior to Benchmark Jack has held leadership positions in various service industries from healthcare to transportation to high tech. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
