Marylee Grosso is a seasoned healthcare executive, with over 30 years of professional clinical management experience. With a hands-on clinical background as a registered Clinical Pharmacist, Marylee most recently was Corporate Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Genesis Healthcare, overseeing the clinical pharmacy practice standards of the Nursing and Medical Affairs Departments in over 510 centers nationally. In this critical role, Marylee was responsible for clinical programs focused on medication management process development, implementation and training as well as clinical oversite of over 75 pharmacy providers & operations.
Ms. Grosso’s scope includes national leadership of remote teams with meticulous and demanding performance metrics, including co-chairing the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, leading an implementation team for electronic medication order management / EMAR as well as development, implementation and management of the regulatory compliance monitoring and reporting system for 510 plus healthcare centers in 33 states.
Prior to joining Genesis, Marylee was responsible for clinical pharmacy program management at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, a 200 bed hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care to a 13 county area in central New York.
Ms. Grosso holds a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from Albany College of Pharmacy and is an active member of several national, regional and state societies. She has been an invited guest speaker for American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and Intravenous Nurses Society (ASHP/INS), national and regional affiliates of the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP). Marylee has been honored with several prestigious appointments, including: the American Medical Directors Association (AMDA) Immunization Work Group; the Pharmacy Quality Alliance (ASCP) where she played a critical role in contributing to the development of pharmacy focused quality measures; CRISP Workgroup (Maryland ASCP) for pharmacist access to health information technology, AHCA Committees for Regulatory Affairs, Adverse Events and Clinical Practice and the President’s Advisory Board of the Albany College of Pharmacy. She is currently co-chair of the Innovations Committee for Transitions on Care (ASCP).
Marylee is managing partner with HealthCare Consults (HCS). Founded in 2005, HealthCare Consults provides practical solutions to the challenges faced by Post-Acute Care Providers, Vendors and Pharmacy Services. HCS has specific experience in the monitoring, analysis and reporting of regulatory outcomes, building efficiencies in medication reconciliation work flow and productivity, creating and maintaining medication and medical supply product formularies and development of policy and procedure and associated education to addresses the challenges faced by post-acute care operators in a rapidly changing regulatory and reimbursement environment.
