Deborah Lipman Slobodnik

Deborah Lipman Slobodnik, co-founder and principal of Options for Change, is a senior organizational consultant and coach, with over 25 years’ experience in developing leaders and building teams. She built her reputation by marrying the fields of organizational development and family systems to produce a practical and powerful approach that aligns culture, teams and leaders around the future business vision. In 2009, Deborah was nominated by clients and colleagues and selected as one of the top 10 Executive Coaches in the Boston area through The Boston Herald and womensbiz.com.

Her well reputed workshops, Making Change Happen™ and FasTeams® for Leaders have been praised as “the antidote to the real human issues that undermine all change efforts.” They have been presented to hundreds of leaders, coaches and consultants throughout the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Deborah has also co-authored the FasTeams® webbased toolset so that leaders and managers have a toolset and process for developing high performing cross-functional teams.

Her client list is diverse. A sampling of her clients includes, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Colgate Palmolive, Devon Energy, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, Travelers Insurance, Thomson Financial and The New York Times, Harvard Medical School, Boston College, Charleston Area Medical Center and Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology.

Deborah is also a regular presenter at international conferences including INC Magazine, Linkage, Project Management Institute and Pegasus Communications. She teaches team leadership at Babson College and facilitates a forum for women Executive Directors through The Commonwealth Institute. The case study of her work with the MathWorks appeared in Linkage’s Best Practices in Leadership Development 2000.

Her academic credentials include an advanced degree in Organizational Development from Antioch College, an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, training at the National Training Labs and an advanced coaching certificate from the Kantor Family Institute in Cambridge, MA.
